Canada's infamous music industry event Indie Week has announced its first round of artists for their 17th annual festival taking place in Toronto Nov 13- 17, 2019.
Over 200 emerging and diverse acts from around the world will perform at 20+ venues in downtown Toronto over the course of five days and nights.
From Finland, GEA has been compared to Siqur Ros, Bjork and Tori Amos and her sold-out show at SXSW this year had a waiting list of 2000 people. Swiss artist Ekat Bork will be releasing her 4th album just prior to Indie Week and the electronic artist has been mentioned in the same breath as both Trent Reznor and Florence and The Machine.
Canada will be well represented by Sara Diamond (Montreal), Basement Revolver (Hamilton), Excuses Excuses (Toronto), Lambsbreath (Vancouver), Johnson’s Creek (Barrie), Urvah Khan (Toronto) Carolina East (St. John’s) along with many more.
With five days and nights of music, showcases and also including the Official VIP Launch Party, Indie Week Awards Show, Indie 101 conference, B2B meetings, Tech Day, Health & Wellness panels, industry mixers, mentorships, 350+ Canadian and International delegates and 10,000 music fans will be entertained and educated.
